By Aviashima Toom, Abuja  The Defence Headquarters has said that it's Joint Task force of operation HADIN Kai have sustained it's tempo against terrorist and their cohorts across the North East theatre of operation with surrendering of BH/ISWAP/JAS terrorists fighters to troops, arrests of terrorists collaborators and conducted different offensive operations in Gwoza, Konduga, Kukawa, Bama, Damboa and Monguno LGAs of Borno as well as Geidam LGA of Yobe States This was contained in a statement signed on Friday by the Director, Defence Media Operations DMO, Maj-Gen Edward Buba in Abuja. Accordingly Troops neutralized 358 terrorists, arrested 431, 59 perpetrators of oil thieves while 249 kidnapped hostages were also rescued in the month of January. Court Sets February 27 for Arraignment of Obanikoro’s Son, Others Over Alleged N1.3bn Fraud

By Aviashima Toom, Abuja  Justice Ambrose Lewis-Allagoa of the Federal High Court in Lagos has scheduled February 27 for the arraignment of Gbolahan Obanikoro, the son of Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, and four other individuals over alleged conspiracy, obtaining by false pretenses, and involvement in a N1,356,057,330.43 billion fraud. Others to be arraigned alongside Obanikoro are: Adejare Adegbenro, 51; Balmoral International Limited; M.O.B. Integrated Limited; and DDSS International Company Limited. Justice Lewis-Allagoa set the date on Friday after the defendants failed to appear for their scheduled arraignment. Ganduje Advocated for Military Intervention in Forests as Measures To End Banditry in Nigeria
