Keyamo, has reacted to PDP's apology to
Nigerians

apologised to Nigerians over its past mistakes

- Keyamo, however, said that the party could not be trusted with power in 2019

A Lagos-based human rights lawyer, Festus Keyamo, has said that the former ruling party, Peoples Democratic Party
(PDP) could not be trusted with power in 2019.

NATIONAL FOCUS NEWS gathered that he was reacting to the party's apology to Nigerians through its national chairman, Uche Secondus, on Monday, March 26, over its past mistakes.

Keyamo likened the PDP's apology to a patient who underwent a major surgical operation to cure a disease who can’t be
discharged immediately.

He said: "PDP apology means that the party is like a patient that has undergone a major surgical operation to cure a disease. It can’t be discharged immediately. It must be under observation
for a while. So 2019 is for just observation of PDP.

Nigerians cannot afford to bring them back yet."

The PDP had said in its official twitter handle that its national chairman, Uche Secondus, admitted that that the party
made mistakes during its 16 years administration.
He said: "As the national chairman of PDP we admit that we have made some
mistakes and we want to apologize for our past mistakes. We have learnt from our mistakes and we say “sorry” to all
Nigerians that has entrusted so much to us.

Meanwhile,  Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had apologised to Nigerians for the mistakes it made while governing
Nigeria.

Uche Secondus, national chairman of the party, said this on Monday, March 26, at a public discourse on contemporary politics and governance in Nigeria,
organized by the PDP in Abuja.
