PRESS RELEASE FROM BENUE STATE SOCIAL INVESTMENT

PRESS RELEASE The Benue State Office of the
National Social Investments Programme wishes to
invite cooks participating on the Home Grown
School Feeding Programme to townhall meetings
scheduled to hold simultaneously across the Three
(3) Senatorial Zones in the state on Saturday,
10th March, 2018. These Townhall meetings are
part of efforts at ensuring a proper understanding
of the Implementation Strategy of the programme.
The fora will also be used to strengthen the
capacities of cooks to deliver the programme in
their respective schools and create an
understanding on food aggregation requirements
of the programme. The Townhall meetings will hold
at the following centres: 1. Zone A- NKST Central
Church, Katsina-Ala 2. Zone B- Government Model
Secondary School, Makurdi 3. Zone C- Otukpo
Local Government Council Hall, Otukpo The time
for the meetings is 10 am. Similarly, the Benue
State Home Grown School Feeding Programme is
convening a One-Day Stakeholders’ Workshop for
key actors aimed at sensitizing them on the
procedures and strategies of the programme and
evolving an effective Monitoring and Evaluation
Framework for the programme in the state. The
workshop will hold on Friday, 16th March, 2018 at
Precious Conference Centre, Makurdi. The
workshop is expected to draw participants from
the Benue State Executive Council, Benue State
House of Assembly, Local Government Councils,
Local Government Education Authorities, School
Based Management Committees, Parent- Teacher
Associations, Non-Governmental Organizations and
Faith-Based Organizations among others.
Attendance at the townhall meetings scheduled for
Saturday, 10th March, 2018 is COMPULSORY for
all cooks and Desk Officers in each of the
