The Benue State Commissioner for Lands, Survey and Solid
Minerals, Honourable Bernard Unenge has reiterated the unwavering commitment of his
Ministry to massively open up access roads, as well as provide other facilities in the various layouts being undertaken, especially in the State Capital.

Unenge restated this
commitment while on supervision of access roads
and survey work at Genabe Layout, Phases one,
two, six and seven as well as that of Utur, phases one and six.

He said the effort is to add value to the various layouts being created by the Ministry
under his leadership to ensure the people taking possession of their Lands enjoy the necessary facilities.

The Commissioner assured
Benue people that the present administration is desirous of ensuring sustained development of the State.

He promised never to hesitate in contributing his quota to the
progress of the State.

Honourable Unenge while
giving account of his stewardship since assumption of office last year said, the Ministry among many other achievements has created
layouts at Mbagwen in Makurdi North as well as Mbaikya, Mbaagi and added more phases in Genabe and Utur Layouts, all in Makurdi South.

He said, the effort is a deliberate way of facilitating
accelerated development in settlements and ensuring proper planning in line with international best practices.

The Commissioner further disclosed that sixteen major access roads and other
connecting streets have been created in the layouts, adding that over one thousand seven
hundred plots of lands have been processed and allocated to members of the public, a feat he expressed optimism that will not only attract development to the area but also help in tackling security challenges in the communities.

In their separate responses, the Supervising Engineer in
the Ministry of Works and Transport, Samson
Imoni and the GM, Benue State
Urban Development Board, Richard Agwa both
assured of their resolve to collaborate with the
