JUST IN: APC may hold virtual NEC meeting within a week

The Victor Giadom-led National Working Committee of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) seems to have concluded plans to hold the National Executive Council meeting (NEC) where crisis rocking the party will be addressed.

It was gathered that the meeting may be held through teleconference.

A source disclosed further that Governors of the All Progressives Congress and relevant offices in the presidency are consulting with Giadom-led NWC towards quick resolution of the problems bedeviling the party.

The specific day the NEC meeting with hold is not known as at the time of writing this report

Tinubu’s campaign coordinator dumps APC for ADC

A former campaign coordinator for President Bola Tinubu, Aliyu Saulawa, has officially left the All Progressives Congress (APC) to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC), ahead of the 2027 general elections. The defection took place on Sunday in Katsina, during the inauguration of the ADC’s state chapter Saulawa, who once served as the Director of Media for the Muhammadu Buhari Campaign Organisation and National Coordinator of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Movement, said he could no longer continue with the ruling party due to its failure to address key issues, especially in the North. He pointed to insecurity, economic struggles, and unfulfilled promises as reasons for his decision.
