Disregard Purported Endowment of Gov. Obaseki By Our Party - SDP


The Social Democratic Party have distanced it selves from the purported endowment of the Incumbent Edo state Governor, Godwin Obaseki, candidate of the PDP for the September 19, 2020 Edo governorship election

SDP also urged the general public and members of the party in Edo state to disregard the claim, describing it as untrue.

The party disclosed this in a statement Signed by the Director Of Publicity, Amb. Rufus B. Aiyenigba , on Saturday in Abuja, said, this notice served as a disclaimer to that effect.

The statement read in full....

"The attention of the national leadership of our great party, the Social Democratic Party (SDP) under the leadership of Prof.Tunde Adeniran OFR, has been drawn to a statement that had just been released and credited to one Collins  Oreruan, to the effect that the SDP has endorsed Governor Godwin Obaseki, candidate of the PDP for the September 19, 2020 Edo governorship election. 

"This public notice serves as a disclaimer of the purported endorsement of the governor. 

"It is also meant to inform Edo electorate and the general public that Mr. Collins Oreruan, who authored the statement is no longer a member of the SDP, having been expelled from the party since 2018. 

"As such, he does not have any authority or mandate of the party to go into any political negotiation or to speak on its behalf. SDP has a Candidate for the election and we are working for his victory.

"We therefore call on Edo people to disregard the so-called endorsement announced by Mr. Collins Oreruan and his co-dealers". The statement stated.

Residents of FCT Pass Vote of Confidence on Wike

From Aviashima Toom, Abuja Coalition of FCT Indigenous Groups and FCT Resident Associations has passed a vote of confidence on the  FCT Minister, Bar. Nyesom Wike. The group also  urged him to continue his good works in the nation’s capital, saying the original inhabitants and the entire people of FCT were solidly behind him. The convener of the group, Adeyeye Olugbenga, made the call during a peaceful rally at the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) Abuja, on Thursday.  The group called on President Bola Tinubu to ignore calls to remove Wike as the FCT Minister. The group said ” Some people have alleged that the FCT under Barr Wike has become the epicentre of controversy. Hybrid Solar Panel Factory Soon To Take Off in Makurdi

From Aviashima Toom The Benue State Government has entered into partnership with the Shanghai Haitian Hospital, to facilitate academic and clinical interchange between Benue State University Teaching Hospital, Makurdi, in the areas of joint studies, training activities, and other educational exchanges of mutual interest. The government has also entered into partnership with Sinoki System Limited, for the establishment of a Hybrid Solar Panel Factory in Benue State. Signing the two Memorandums of understandings (MOUs) at the Old Banquet Hall of the Benue State Government House, Makurdi on Monday, Governor Hyacinth Alia said he was excited and optimistic that the partnerships will open many more doors of investments in the State, adding that his administration is willing to welcome more investors into the state.
