Police officers flee as hoodlums set another Lagos station ablaze


Suspected arsonists have just set ablaze another police station in Lagos.

 

The divisional police office at the popular Grammar School Ojodu along Ogunnusi road in Ojodu LCDA was torched few minutes ago and it is still burning as of the time of filing this report.

 

The police officers on duty reportedly fled while the vicinity of the station has been surrounded by Mobile Police Officers.

 

Pedestrians trekking along the Ogunnusi road heading to Ogba, Agege, Ikeja are being turned back.

 

Gunshots allegedly fired by the mobile police officers to scare away people around could be heard around the area.

 

Sahel Reporters reports that several police stations have been torched in the wake of the statewide melee that trailed the #EndSARS protests and the shooting at Lekki Toll plaza on Tuesday night.

Tinubu’s campaign coordinator dumps APC for ADC

A former campaign coordinator for President Bola Tinubu, Aliyu Saulawa, has officially left the All Progressives Congress (APC) to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC), ahead of the 2027 general elections. The defection took place on Sunday in Katsina, during the inauguration of the ADC’s state chapter Saulawa, who once served as the Director of Media for the Muhammadu Buhari Campaign Organisation and National Coordinator of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Movement, said he could no longer continue with the ruling party due to its failure to address key issues, especially in the North. He pointed to insecurity, economic struggles, and unfulfilled promises as reasons for his decision. FMC Adikpo to bring Medical care closer to Zone A people - Sen Udende

From Aviashima Toom, Abuja  The Senate committee chairman on Anti-corruption and Financial Crimes, Distinguished Senator Emmanuel Memga Udende, has said his sponsorship of the bill to establish the Federal Medical Center Adikpo in Kwande Local Government of Benue state is to bring medical care closer to the people especially in times of emergency.
