Benue Govt. Takes Delivery of 50,000 Doses of COVID-19 Vaccines

The Benue state government yesterday announced that it has taken delivery of 50,000 doses of COVID-19 Vaccines for use by people of the State.

Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Rt. Hon. Ngunan Addingi who briefed journalists shortly after the State Executive Council meeting also said Council had ratified the commencement of the monthly remittances. 

The State Government also reaffirmed its commitment to the implementation of the ten percent monthly pensions contribution for civil servants in the state.

 She said the move was in line with Governor Samuel Ortom’s commitment to addressing the issue of pensions in the state. 

She further hinted that Council also approved the participation of Benue State in the Nigeria COVID-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus, NG-CARES programme. 

Hon Addingi also told journalists that Council approved the formal transfer of ownership of the defunct Lobi Bank building in Makurdi belonging to the Benue Investment and Property Company, BIPC to the Benue Internal Revenue Service, BIRS, as the revenue agency’s permanent headquarters.
