UBEC, SUBEB Conmences Traning of Feferal Teachers in Benue

The Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) in conjunction with Benue State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) Monday commenced a 10-day refresher training for Teachers recruited by UBEC into the Federal Teachers Scheme on a 2-year contract. 
This was contained in a statement issued by the Information Officer, Benue State Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB, Erdoo Sar in Makurdi quoted the Chairman, Comrade Joseph Utse charged them paericipant to take the training seriously with maximum commitment.

According to the statement, Utse made it known to the FTS participants that if they perform well, SUBEB would recommend them for employment so that Government would absorb them as permanent staff after their 2 years contract.

Utse reminded the trainees of the fragile security situation in the country and urged them to be focused without wandering about and to eschew trouble. 
He advised trainees cooperate with the facilitators and make good use of the opportunity availed them.

Also speaking, State UBEC Coordinator, Mrs Augustina Sanchi who said the essence of recruiting Federal Teachers was to bridge the gap in the teaching profession cautioned them against truancy and other forms of misconduct.
 
She revealed that they were not N-Power Teachers adding that their monitoring will be intense so as to achieve the aim of their engagement.

SUBEB Permanent Member 3, Mr James Ahua in a remark urged the Participants to be generous with the knowledge acquired through the ongoing training by extending it to their colleagues who were not privileged to benefit from the exercise and might be deficient in certain areas of teaching delivery.

Responding on behalf of FTS participants, Mr Robert Akije assured that they would take the training seriously and maintain good conduct throughout the 2-year contract job.
