Airforce, Committed to Securing Lives, Property of Nig - CAS......Trained 135 Military Officers since Establishment in 2916

The Chief of the Air Staff CAS, Air Marshal IO Amao, said that the Air force War College has so far trained 135 Military Officers since its establishment in 2016.

Alao disclosed this during the graduation of the Course 7/2021 graduation in Makurdi on Friday

He said that the officers were making good use of the knowledge acquired in various theatre formations across the country.

“Airforce cannot justify its existence without critical manpower hence the need for training and retraining of its personnel.

“The force is committed to securing lives and property of Nigerians at all times,“he said.

Alao also said the service has continue to partner with foreign war colleges to on the trainings of its officers to enable them tackle insecurity.

He urged the graduating officers to use  the skills and knowledge acquired during their training in their future deployments.

Also speaking, the Minister of Defence, retired Maj.-Gen. Bashir Magashi, urged the graduating officers to use the knowledge acquired in tackling insecurity.

The Director of Army Affairs, Mr Sunday Attah, represented him.

Magashi said that Nigeria was bedeviled with security challenges that needed to be tackled head on.

“Nigeria is experiencing a lot of security challenges such as armed banditry, kidnapping and farmers/herders clashes.

“The security challenges are causing great consequences on both human and material resources,” he said.

He, however, commended the military for their efforts in combating insecurity.

In his address, the Commandant of the college, AVM Ibrahim Ali, said that 13 officers graduated in the course 7 of the college.

“Nine of them are from the Air Force while two are from the Navy and two from the Army.

“They have undergone all the rigours and met the requirements to be conferred with the Fellows of the Air Force War College,” he said.

He thanked the Chief of the Air Staff for addressing the critical challenges of the college.

Gov. Samuel Ortom who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Tony Ijoho, appreciated the military for their sustained efforts in maintaining security of the State.

Residents of FCT Pass Vote of Confidence on Wike

From Aviashima Toom, Abuja Coalition of FCT Indigenous Groups and FCT Resident Associations has passed a vote of confidence on the  FCT Minister, Bar. Nyesom Wike. The group also  urged him to continue his good works in the nation’s capital, saying the original inhabitants and the entire people of FCT were solidly behind him. Hybrid Solar Panel Factory Soon To Take Off in Makurdi

From Aviashima Toom The Benue State Government has entered into partnership with the Shanghai Haitian Hospital, to facilitate academic and clinical interchange between Benue State University Teaching Hospital, Makurdi, in the areas of joint studies, training activities, and other educational exchanges of mutual interest. The government has also entered into partnership with Sinoki System Limited, for the establishment of a Hybrid Solar Panel Factory in Benue State. Signing the two Memorandums of understandings (MOUs) at the Old Banquet Hall of the Benue State Government House, Makurdi on Monday, Governor Hyacinth Alia said he was excited and optimistic that the partnerships will open many more doors of investments in the State, adding that his administration is willing to welcome more investors into the state.
