Pray Fervently for Akume's Emergence as Nat. Chairman of APC, Yisa tells party faithful

An All Progressives Congress (APC) governership aspirant in Benue, Arc. Bernard Yisa, has appealed to members of the party to continue to pray fervently for Sen. George Akume to emerge the party's National Chairman.

Yisa made the appeal on Wednesday in Gboko, the headquarters of Gboko Local Government Area (LGA) of the State when he visited the Jemgbagh intermediate area to intimate them of his ambition and to seek for their support as well as blessing.

Jemgbagh intermediate area comprise, Buruku, Gboko and Tarka LGAs of the state.

He stressed that though Akume had brighter chances of winning the election and nobody could stop him, emphasizing that they still needed God's hands in the project.

He reiterated that Akume's chances of winning the election were high and above every other candidate, stating that majority of the stakeholders were behind his aspiration.

"The Minister of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs' aspiration should be considered as a Benue and North Central project.

"He championed the cause of the party in Benue and North Central at large, therefore, this is the time to appreciate him for all that he has done for the party in the North Central region and the country at large," Yisa said.

He further appealed to the people to support and bless his aspiration, promising that they would not regret giving him their mandate.

Meanwhile, Elders Augustine Tse, Victor Akume, Ahembe Kyo and Ahungwa Jeh who spoke for Buruku, Gboko and Tarka LGAs respectively pledged to give him their unflinching support since he was an ally of their son, Akume.

Also, the President-General, Jemgbagh Elders Forum, Elder Haa Orpin, prayed God to grant Yisa success in his political quest.

The APC Chairman in Zone B, Mr James Tor, urged Benue people who were yet to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVC) to do so without delay, stressing that their PVC was their power and strength.

Former chairman of Gboko LGA, Mrs Becky Orpin and Mr Shiaondo Tarka, encouraged the aspirants to work together as a team, advising that they should not dump the party even if they were not allowed to fly the party's flag but work for the victory of the party during the general elections.

The Director-General, Yisa Campaign Organization, Mr Fidelis Audu, said that the aspirant was a man of impeccable character and should be supported.

Also, former chairman, Gboko LGA, Mr Abua Yaji, disclosed that Yisa was a silent achiever and a goal getter as well, stating that they would key into his project.
