Dayo, who gave the assurance while addressing journalists at the APC headquarters in Abuja said, education is a leveler an a vital instrument that brings the child of a poor man to the same level of a child of a rich man.

He stated that as part of the commitment as a Council of youth leaders, is to be able to sit down and begin to identify who are the stakeholders and also need to engage with so to be able to put the issue to an end

“We are going to make an attempt by the grace of God to speak to the minister of education and lend our voice to the issues and also to sit down with other stakeholders for example, we will lend our voice to the labour. We are not part of the main stakeholders but we can only go, advocate and lobby in our own little way.

“We will make sure by the grace of God to do everything in our power to serve our generation and to ensure that we speak and we remain a voice for young progressives and we know that if we do that it will be easy for us to be able to mobilise for our coming elections". He said.

Speaking further on what he will do differently compared to previous leaders; Dayo said, “you have heard people who have made promises but you must understand that we are new generation of young people who have integrity and Like president Muhammadu Buhari, we want to live our time in office with integrity with diligence and with the fear of God.

"We will do everything within our power to ensure we dutifully serve young people who have put us in office. Not only that we will prayerfully with the help of God, we will make sure we engage our leaders, we sit down with them, we open a line of communication. When there is communication, you can get more done, you are able to lobby, you are able to ensure that people can reason with you and while you want things to be.

” This is not students unionism with all due respect; this is the young people of the All Progressives Congress. The emphasis is on the word “Progressives”.

In attendance to pay homage to the leaders of the party at the party’s Secretariat included; his deputy Jamilu Kabiru, from Zamfara state. Ibimboye from Delta state (South South youth leader); Abdulhameed Muhammed, youth leader North West; Zubairu Aliyu youth leader North Central.

On what he would do to ensure that the form fees are not too exorbitant for youths who want to run for any elective position, the National Youth leader noted that  he is representing the interest of about ten thousand youth leaders from the deputy, to the zonal, state, senatorial to the local government and ward level.

According to him, he will ensure that they work together as leaders and go to those rooms "I'm talking about the NWC and make a case on behalf of that strong body of youth leaders across the nation to ensure that our young people get preference. If you are giving the women 50% you should be able to give young people under the age of 35 at least if not 40 the concession to be able to pay a discounted fee.

"The adults can go ahead and pay any amount but we as young people we will be able to seat at the table and ensure that we can get a bargain as much as the women are already getting in the party as well".
