50% Nomination Fee Discount: APC National Youth Leader hails Party

National youth leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress, (APC) Dayo Israel has express his gratitude to the national chairman of party, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, for giving 50 percent discount to Youths below 40 years of age.

 

Israel while speaking to newsmen at the party national Secretariat on Thursday, said For the first time in the history of the APC, the Youths have been considered to pay less to the actual amount on nomination forms.

 

“We are here because we want to say a big thank you to the national chairman of the all progressives Congress, the super energetic Chairman, the visionary chairman, distinguished senator, Alhaji abdullahi Adamu Who With the support of the National Working Committee of the party. our deputy national chairman, vice chairmen and all the various colleagues on the national working committee for working with us to ensure that we are able to achieve this

“My thanks also extend to the Speaker of the Federal House of Representative, the right honourable Femi Gbajabiamila, who stood up to raise a motion for an increment on our behalf and also the Senate President Dr. Ahmed lawan, who supported that motion, Governor Sanwo-Olu my governor who also supported the motion frantically on the floor of the NEC.

 

He appreciate Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State who also stood up to support the motion.

“Governor Uzodinma, Governor Fayemi, Governor El-rufai, Governor Matawalle, Governor Akeredolu of Ondo, the chairman of the Nigeria Governors forum, Progressives Governors forum and Governor of Osun state and all the leadership of our party who have made history for us.”

 

” For the first time in the history of the all progressive Congress. We have been able to offer the young people of our great party, the energetic resourceful youth of our great party 50% discount on our nomination fee.

 

“We are totally appreciative. We know that our youths want more, but we are grateful for the fact that we are not where we used to be but the fact that for the first time, we have even been able to secure some level of 50% discount for young people 40 years and below. 40 years because our party constitution says young people under 40 are Youths.

 

The youth leader believes strongly that it is going to be a great motivator and booster to the Nigerian youth.

 

“We know that this is not going to be the only thing we are going to do. We’re going to go ahead and lobby the governors. We’re going to lobby the state chairmen. We are going to lobby all the other stakeholders in the party to help to create an enabling field for our young people.

Reacting to opposition parties condemning the cost of the party’s nomination form he said, the peculiarity of every organisation is different and when PDP in power their prices were also high.

Residents of FCT Pass Vote of Confidence on Wike

From Aviashima Toom, Abuja Coalition of FCT Indigenous Groups and FCT Resident Associations has passed a vote of confidence on the  FCT Minister, Bar. Nyesom Wike. The group also  urged him to continue his good works in the nation’s capital, saying the original inhabitants and the entire people of FCT were solidly behind him. The convener of the group, Adeyeye Olugbenga, made the call during a peaceful rally at the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) Abuja, on Thursday.  The group called on President Bola Tinubu to ignore calls to remove Wike as the FCT Minister. The group said ” Some people have alleged that the FCT under Barr Wike has become the epicentre of controversy. They further questioned his land reforms and claimed that he was involved in land grabbing and dispossessing people of their properties. Hybrid Solar Panel Factory Soon To Take Off in Makurdi

From Aviashima Toom The Benue State Government has entered into partnership with the Shanghai Haitian Hospital, to facilitate academic and clinical interchange between Benue State University Teaching Hospital, Makurdi, in the areas of joint studies, training activities, and other educational exchanges of mutual interest. The government has also entered into partnership with Sinoki System Limited, for the establishment of a Hybrid Solar Panel Factory in Benue State. Signing the two Memorandums of understandings (MOUs) at the Old Banquet Hall of the Benue State Government House, Makurdi on Monday, Governor Hyacinth Alia said he was excited and optimistic that the partnerships will open many more doors of investments in the State, adding that his administration is willing to welcome more investors into the state.
