Destined Children Orphanage, appeals for N50m to Secure Building....As Healper Inc. USA sets to Host Fundraising, Humanitarian Award in Nigeria

An Abuja orphanage, Destined Children Orphanage Home has appealed to the Federal Government and wealthy Nigerians in raising N50 million to secure the present building for the orphans.

The orphans who are about to be render homeless worries the orphanage as the present building housing them is up for sale.

It is on these premised that Healper Inc. USA in collaboration with Destined Children Orphanage Home is sets to host Healper Inc. USA humanitarian award and fundraising in order to save the orphans for been thrown out of the home.

Country Representative International Programme Director, Healper Inc. USA Jane Thomas Rogers, while addressing journalists ahead of the Award which comes up on June 25, at the Nera hotel, Jabi Lake in Abuja, noted that the event is to honour personalities who have committed their time and resources in rendering services to humanity.

She added that, the award is geared towards raising funds to secure home of the Orphans of Destined Children Orphanage Home who may be rendered homeless if they fail to procure the property by the end of the year, as the building they lived in is put up for sale and it's worth 50million.

The president of the Foundation, an  American Fashion designer and CEO traditional and jeankera, Estella Ijeoma Ogbonna affirms: "we have done it before and we can do it again. We have done this in 2010 for the people of Jos, Nigeria at that time I used my platform to garner support for the victims of the crisis in Jos. 

"We were able pull considerable support, leading to the huge success of the event. It was hosted by our a-list celebrities, Regina Askia and Razaaq Adoti, I still believe that there are many kindhearted individuals like me out there, good humans who will be unable to watch the property of these kids being thrown away by December, hence, the need to take urgent steps now to secure the home. 

"Please let's help save the home of Destined Children Orphanage, let's do it for these kids and I bet you, posterity will surely be kind to each of us". She said.

The event according to the country Representative, will take place in the heart of Abuja at the prestigious Nera hotel Jabi Lake at 2pm on June 25, 2022.

The Founder, Destined Children Orphanage Home, Mr Chukwuemeka Gladys, also called on the government and wealthy Nigerians to come to the aid of the  Home in order to save the kids from been rendered homeless.

“These children over 45 need your help. I know there are people out there with good heart, they can help, I don't know where to take this children to. We are appealing to the government and well-meaning individuals to assist us in securing the building for the kids. As you can  see the orphans are doing well it will be a thing of shame if these kids are thrown out of this place" she said.

Also speaking, leader of the Unique Sisters Club, Mrs Chinansa Devine, appealed to Nigerians to assist Destined Children Orphanage Home raise the funds to secure the home as the children need shelter.

According to her, they have also come to help the Orphanage Home raise the funds in order to secure the building "we are pleading with Nigerians to assist the kids, this is the time they need us." she said
