VSF donates medical, non medical consumables to Benue community

Victims Support Fund (VSF) on Friday donated a 2.5 KVA Solar Inverter to the Primary Healthcare Clinic in Bonta, Konshisha Local Government Area (LGA), Benue.
The donation was done by the Chairperson, Emergency Support Program of VSF, Mrs Toyosi Akerele-Ogunsiji on behalf of the fund in Bonta, Konshisha LGA of the state.

Our correspondent reports that apart from the inverter, VSF also donated medical and non medical consumables to the clinic.

Akerele-Ogunsiji said that with the donation of the inverter the clinic would no longer experience darkness, stressing that henceforth there would be light at the clinic 24 hours.

The chairperson of VSF further said that with the donation of the medical consumables the clinic would now be treating most of the diseases.

She said that the drugs that were donated were for the treatment of diabetes, malaria, high blood pressure among others.

She expressed happiness that pregnant women would no longer suffer during delivery at the clinic again.

She encouraged people of the community to make judicious use of the clinic and protect the items that were donated particularly the inverter, adding that they should live in peace and unity with their neighbours in Oju LGA of the state.

She thanked the Chairman of VSF, Gen. TY Danjuma for approving the procurement and supply of the items, stating that he is a good man with a good heart.

Also, Elder Sunday Oibe, a member of the VSF team, told Bonta people that the only way they could show appreciation to Danjuma was for them to live in peace with the Oju people.

Meanwhile, Executive Secretary, Primary Healthcare Board, Mrs Ashi Wende and former Deputy Chairman of the local government, Mr Sam Kave, commended Danjuma for coming to the aid of the people and urged the people to protect as well as visit the clinic whenever they were sick or for check up.

The Kindred Head of Mbatoo, Chief Terkaa Nenger, assured that they would protect the items donated and appreciated Danjuma for supporting them with the items.

He further assured that they would live in peace with their neighbours in Oju LGA of the state.
