COAS inaugurates NASME Command Children School, RSM's Residence

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Gen. Farouk Yahaya, has inaugurated the Nigerian Army School of Military Engineering's (NASME) Command Children School and the Regimental Sergeant Major's residence.
Yahaya inaugurated both projects on Friday in Makurdi.

Performing the ceremony, Yahaya said that it was his utmost desire to restore the RSM to their exalted place, hence the building of a befitting accommodation for the RSMs across the Nigerian Army formations and units, adding that they were also attached with vehicles too.
  
"This is a new house with all the facilities including a generator, water and everything.

"This is aimed at encouraging our soldiers to aspire to be diligent, committed and hard-working in order to attain an enviable rank of RSM," Yahaya said.

He disclosed that RSM was the highest rank one could attain in a unit as a soldier, stressing that RSM is a father of a unit. 

The Commandant, NASME, Maj. Gen. JD Omali, assured the COAS that NASME which was the home of Engineers had worked out necessary modalities to effectively maintain the house and its usage.

Omali further disclosed that the house that was commissioned was constructed within three months with high quality materials that would stand the test of time. 

"At this point sir, permit me to acknowledge the efforts of the Coordinator Nigerian Army Special Projects, Office of the Chief of Army Staff through which this structure was actualized. 

"I wish to make use of this opportunity to specially appreciate the Chief of Army Staff for his laudable projects here in NASME. 

"These projects include the renovation of the just commissioned Command Children School, the constructions of student officers’ and soldiers quarters and the construction of the RSM’s house which is being commissioned today among other projects ongoing in the school," Omali said. 

He further said that those projects had not only improved on the welfare of the students and soldiers of the school but also avail the school with the opportunity to expose its students to practically oriented training on construction site for experience on the job training.

Residents of FCT Pass Vote of Confidence on Wike

The group also  urged him to continue his good works in the nation’s capital, saying the original inhabitants and the entire people of FCT were solidly behind him. Hybrid Solar Panel Factory Soon To Take Off in Makurdi

From Aviashima Toom The Benue State Government has entered into partnership with the Shanghai Haitian Hospital, to facilitate academic and clinical interchange between Benue State University Teaching Hospital, Makurdi, in the areas of joint studies, training activities, and other educational exchanges of mutual interest. The government has also entered into partnership with Sinoki System Limited, for the establishment of a Hybrid Solar Panel Factory in Benue State.
