"Improving on the well-being of personnel has contributed in no small measure towards the recent successes recorded against Boko Haram and other terrorist groups as well as various unscrupulous elements across the country.

"It is also heart-warming to note that in line with my vision to promote  jointness in operations, the Nigerian Army has continued to contribute successfully in several joint operations across the country.

"I will use this opportunity to also express my sincere appreciation to all security stakeholders whose efforts have contributed immensely to the fight against insecurity.

"I urge you not to rest on your oars as the struggle to defeat insecurity is the collective responsibility of all Nigerians," Yahaya said.

He promised that the Nigerian Army would continue to work assiduously with the Nigerian Navy and Nigerian Air Force as well as other security agencies and relevant stakeholders towards ensuring enduring peace in the nation.

The chief of army staff pointed out that the overall objective of the workshop was to promote timely delivery of high-quality projects for the Nigerian Army.
