Certificate Saga: "I Have Been Cleared" Gov. Aiyedatiwa

Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, said the controvercy sorounding his certificate Scandal has been put to rest, as the screening committee has cleared him to contest the 2024 election.

He stated this today shortly after his screening at the All Progressive Congress, National Secretariate Abuja said Screening is one of the exercises tha has to be done amongst the proceses aspirants has to go through, which his has just been done.  

He said all the document submited has to be verified and question asked where some are no too clear by some members of the screening committe. Adding that qustions where asked and was anwsered by him and he has been cleared and there no issues. 

"Issues that has to do with a certificate that petition was written and today has been put to reat. My certificate are geniuen and authentic. I think is just a kind of mischief by some other aspirants who found to be an aspirants to beat trying to look for away to discredite my person. But has been verified and pit to rest.

"The issue was regarding the school, the claim was established in 1980 and how come i happens to WASC in 1982. If you are student of hiatory you will recall that school was established in 1979 when governor of Lagos at the time lateef Jakande became the Governor of Lagos state, most private schools were taking over, and schools were bult for the communities. And it was a high that i attended and it the high school that was built by the tegime of Lateef Jakande in 1980.

"So it was in record that the school was established in 1980 and at that time ibwas already in form 3, in a private school. And New Nation was in Okosi Ketu, while Royal Comprehensive high school was in Ajegumle Ekorudu very close to Ketu. So student all of us were moved both New Nation and Royal Comprrehenssive high school and so many other schools that were affected with fload like Odogun High school were all move to Okosi High school that were built by the Government. And that was how we wrote our WAEC in 1982, because we were the firat set. It use to five yeara not rhis time that we have six year for Secondary school.

"So, their question was that how can,  the petiotioner, how can a scholl be establish in 1980 and you have the first set in 1982 that i claim, that first set suppose to be in 1984. They didnt take time to look at the history. So an investigation has been conducted, the schools are still there,  WAEC office is there where you can actually verify the subject that i took and the year that i graduated and the school. You just need to buy scrash card and go the Website of WAEC, it will be thete. Okosi High School Ketu. And my name is there and various subjects that i took and the grades.

"So it is clear to every body that my certificates were authentic and i actually graduated from that school im 1982". He said.
