Gusau, Dauda Lawal, Sani Jaji uncomfortable as Matawalle’s influence expands geometrically as state Defence Minister

Youths under the aegis of North-West Youth Federation of Nigeria have consciously made a U-turn concerning an alleged dealings with one Bashir Hadeja who is a known hireling of Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara state and General Aliyu Gusau to further the 2027 presidential campaign of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.

Speaking at a press conference on thursday evening in Kaduna, President of the group, Comrade Abdullazeez Maikano called on all members of the North-west youth federation who were allegedly part of the earlier meeting held with Mr. Hadeja for the purpose of mobilizing 100 buses filled with 20 youths each into Abuja for the planned #End

BadGovernance Protest, now withdrew from the planned protest.

The leadership of the organisation has already directed all members across the region to henceforth  stop the in-motion mobilization moves. According to the leadership, "investigation has shown that Hadeja was hired to put the youths at cross fire with non state actors who are planted to hijack the protest.

Maikano disclosed that he and his excos got discouraged to work with Bashir Hadeja when he (Hadeja) and one Sani Jaji, a member of the federal house of representatives allegedly asked them to also mobilise their members to make publications on social media handles accusing Defence Minister of State, Bello Matawalle as being responsible in a rumoured smuggling of former Governor Yahaya Bello to Niger Republic to evade arrest and prosecution.

"We noticed that with this recent request for political attacks on the Minister of state Defence Bello Matawalle, there is more to Hadeja's willingness to support us financially for the protest, as further investigation has shown that the story about Matawalle using Soldiers to help Yahaya Bello to evade arrest is not just only untrue but baseless and unfolded."

Lending his voice, the spokesperson of the youth federation, Engineer Nasir Sallisu said that the attacks on Matawalle are aimed at discrediting his achievements and undermining his growing influence in the political landscape, all in a bid to pave the way to submandle President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in North west ahead of the 2027 elections.

Sallisu said no right-thinking person should pay attention to the tissue of lies poorly concocted and fabricated by a socially deranged Bashir Hadeja, Sani Jaji and their alleged paymasters, Dauda Lawal, Governor of Zamfara state and retired General Aliyu Gusau whom are feeling the heat of military onslaught on their secret gold mining theives and agents of banditry as facilitated by Matawalle and service chiefs, hence their resolve to play the pull him down hatchet game.

‘"No Amount Of Blackmail by these gang of opposition gladiators can Distract Matawalle’', Sallisu noted.

"Just a few days ago, we took notice of a video in which a wanted bandit kingpin, Kachalla Bello Turji, was sponsored by the same jittery Zamfara state Government to allege that the immediate-past governor of Zamfara State and current minister of state for Defence, Dr Bello Matawalle, supported banditry in the state while in office as governor. It is obvious that if they don't attach Matawalle’s name to their nefarious focktails, the sorted attention will not be gotten, "Sallisu maintained.

Matawalle’s political opponents seem to be afraid of his towering socio-political profile and achievements as governor and now minister, and they will stop at nothing to pull him down having observed his undeing commitment to ensuring that the renewed hope agenda of President Bola Tinubu continues beyond 2027, hence their resolve to use Sani Jaji who is of the same APC political divide as Matawalle to create watery crisis. Jaji is said to be disgruntled because he feels it was Matawalle and President Tinubu that stopped his dream of becoming the speaker of the Federal House of Representatives of the 10th Assembly 

While many in Northern Nigeria sees and adores General Aliyu Gusau as the Leadership Elephant of the North West region and Security Giant of Northern Nigeria, Bello Matawalle seem to have a different view of General Gusau as he sees him as a directionless cockroach gasping for political relevance and social breath. Recall that Matawalle as Governor facilitated the abrupt removal of General Aliyu Gusau's son as Deputy Governor of Zamfara state. 

Of course, one will wonder why insecurity is on the increase in Gusau city, the home town of General Aliyu Gusau, with all his acclaimed expertise in security management.

"We have come to terms with the fact that Bashir Hadeja is playing the script of those that hired him, not that he is genuinely rendering us help to pursue a just course of making our President, Senators and National leaders know through protest that the economic hardship has taken a new dimension", Maikano stated.

There is no documentary evidence to suggest that the former governor was indicted for misappropriation, misapplication, and embezzlement of public funds for personal enrichment. From all gathered so far as an independent media establishment, Matawalle remains an ardent Field Marshal of President Tinubu's course, hence faced with both Bush bandits and political bandits.

It is now cristal clear and audible to even the deaf and dump, as well visible to even the blind, that those opposed to President Tinubu's success as President and his subsequent return to power in 2027 to 2031, will surely ended up in nothing in their bid to see that Bello Matawalle is relieved of his appointment as defence minister.

Instead of General Aliyu Gusau and the government of Zamfara state to continually spend time and resources in fanning ambers of discord, we advice that they channel alike time and resources towards finding a lasting solution to Banditry and terrorism in Zamfara state and Northern Nigeria in General.

From all indications, there seem to be no amount of blackmail and propaganda by terrorists and political opponents capable of distracting the Minister of State for Defence from crushing banditry, insurgency, militancy and terrorism in Nigeria and actualizing the President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda of national security, peace, unity and prosperity.
