Isreali - Palestinian War: 630,000 Students Deprived Right To Education - Envoy

By Our Reporter  The Palestinian Ambassador in Nigeria, Abu Shawesh has said about 630,000 students are deprived of their right to education due to the ongoing war between Israel and Palestine. The Ambassador stated this while briefing journalist on Thursday in Abuja. According to him, "the Israeli war left 25,000 students dead, mimed or wounded and led to the destruction of 90% of government school buildings Shawesh also highlight numbers of causalities which he said includes women and children. "As of yesterday, September 11, the death toll had risen to 41,000, with 95,000 wounded and 10,000 still missing under the rubble and streets. From Aviashima Toom, Abuja  The Inspector General of Police IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, today September 12 2024, made an unscheduled visit to the Police Training School and the Police Mobile Force (PMF) 5 in Benin City, Edo State, as part of his ongoing efforts to ensure that police training across the country adheres to the highest standards of professionalism, discipline, and service.  The Force Public Relations Officer ACP Olumuyiwa made this known in a statement on Thursday in Abuja said, the IGP was accompanied by the AIG zone 5, Benin, AIG Azungua Nwazue, CP Edo State, CP Nemi Iwo, SIS, CP Lanre Ogunlowo, and the Force PRO, ACP Muyiwa Adejobi. According to the statement, during the visit, the IGP inspected various facilities, including the recruits’ dormitories, classrooms, and the kitchen, where meals for trainees are prepared. He took a special interest in the welfare of the recruits, currently totalling 492, and commended the staff on their commitment to training
