RAMADAN: IGP Urges Muslim To Reflect, Pray For Peace Unity, National Progress .......Ensure Safe, Secure Environment For Worshippers

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, extends warm Ramadan greetings to all Muslim Ummah across Nigeria and 

The Inspector General of Police IGP Kayode Egbetokun, has urged Muslim across Nigeria to utilize this sacred period for deep reflection and fervent prayers for peace, unity, and national progress.

Egbetokun who extend warm Ramadan greetings to all the the Muslim brothers in a statement signed on Saturday by the Force Public Relations Officer ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi in Abuja said Ramadan, a time of spiritual renewal, self-discipline, and communal solidarity, presents a valuable opportunity for all Muslims to strengthen their faith and promote harmony within society. 

The IGP underscores the significance of interfaith tolerance and peaceful coexistence, calling on religious and community leaders to foster mutual respect and understanding among all Nigerians.

He directed all police officers to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and respect for the religious beliefs and practices of the Muslim community during this holy period. 

According to the statement, The Nigeria Police Force remains committed to ensuring a safe and secure environment for all worshippers throughout Ramadan.

The IGP, while wishing all Muslim faithful a blessed and peaceful Ramadan, he encouraged all Nigerians to embrace the values of love, compassion, and unity that define the holy month.

From Aviashima Toom, Abuja  The Senate committee chairman on Anti-corruption and Financial Crimes, Distinguished Senator Emmanuel Memga Udende, has said his sponsorship of the bill to establish the Federal Medical Center Adikpo in Kwande Local Government of Benue state is to bring medical care closer to the people especially in times of emergency. This was contained in a statement signed by the Special Assistants on Media and Publicity, Office of Senator Emmanuel Udende, Jerry Iorngaem, in Abuja.  Senator Udende stated this at the one day public hearing on the amendment of the Federal Medical Centres Act of 2022 involving about 40 bills.
