APC Blames ADC for Internal Crisis, Backs INEC’s Decision
In a press statement issued on Thursday in Abuja, APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, described the ADC as a party plagued by confusion and poor leadership, alleging that its challenges are self-inflicted.
The APC criticized the emergence of a factional leadership within the ADC, reportedly led by David Mark and Rauf Aregbesola, claiming their takeover of the party violated constitutional provisions and due process.
The ruling party also defended the decision of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to de-recognize the factional leadership, stating that the move was based on a valid court judgment and aligned with established electoral laws and democratic principles.
According to the APC, the ADC’s attempt to blame external forces for its internal disputes reflects a failure to take responsibility and demonstrates its inability to effectively manage its affairs.
The statement further argued that the ADC lacks a coherent political agenda and is more focused on criticizing the APC than offering viable alternatives to Nigerians.
Reaffirming its commitment to governance, the APC noted that the administration of President Bola Tinubu remains focused on delivering its “Renewed Hope Agenda” and strengthening democratic institutions to promote national unity and development.
