Save the children Condemn Kidnaps of 450 Schoolgirls

.....Says, ‘Attacks unacceptable, schools should never be a place of fear’ By Aviashima Toom, Abuja An International Non Governmental Organization Save the Children International, have called for the immediate release of the 450 kidnapped schoolgirls in Zamfara State   The Organization who also condemned the act said, it was horrified about reports of the 450 schoolgirls abducted from a school in Nigeria’s Zamfara state.  In a statement signed on Friday by the Director of Advocacy and Campaign, the aid organisation, Mr Amanuel Mamo, called for their immediate release and for any perpetrators to be held to account. "Sadly, this is only the latest in a series of abductions in the region" the organisation said. The organization said, over the past months, hundreds of children in Nigeria have gone through the trauma of being abducted by armed groups. Military Kill Several Armed Bandits in Chikwake Forest, Kaduna State - DHQ

By Aviashima Toom, Abuja  The Defence Headquarters says, its  Air Component of Operation THUNDER STRIKE has neutralized several armed bandits at Chikwale Forest in the Mangoro area of Chikun Local Government Area in Kaduna State.  In a statement signed on Sunday by the Coordinator, Defence Media Operations, Maj. Gen. Troops Neutralizes 2 Armed Bandits in Kaduna State -DHQ

By Aviashima Toom, Abuja The Defence Headquarters has disclosed that, it's troops of Operation ACCORD, yesterday successfully neutralised 2 armed bandits along Sabon- Iche- Kagarko road in Kaduna State.  In a statement signed on Tuesday by the Coordinator, Defence Media Operations, Maj. John Enenche in Abuja said own source affirmed that the suspects are part of the notorious bandits that have been terrorising the area. According to Enenche, The gallant troops have continued to dominate the area with aggressive patrols to deny bandits freedom of action. Promising that, the Armed Forces of Nigeria will not relent until all enemies of the Country are neutralised and normalcy is restored to all troubled zones.

By Aviashima Toom, Abuja The Military says, its Air Task Force of Operation LAFIYA DOLE has destroyed a Boko Haram Terrorists’ (BHTs’) Training Camp, along with a suspected ammunition depot, and neutralized several terrorists at Nuwar in the Bama area of Borno State. This is contained in a statement on Friday by the Coordinator, Defence Media Operations, Maj. Gen. John Enenche in Abuja. By Aviashima Toom, Abuja The Armed Force of Nigeria says, its Air Task Force of Operation LAFIYA DOLE has destroyed some Boko Haram Terrorists’ (BHTs’) vehicles and eliminated several of their fighters along the Jakana axis of Borno State.  In a statement signed by the Coordinator, Defence Media Operations, Maj. Gen. John Enenche in Abuja said, it was achieved through air strikes executed on 13 January 2021 after intelligence reports revealed that the BHTs were conducting another logistics movement through the Jakana-Mainok axis of the State.  Hr also said that, a Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) aircraft dispatched to the area subsequently spotted the BHTs’ vehicles at a location South of Jakana.  According to him, the Air Task Force scrambled NAF helicopter gunships to engage the convoy in successive waves of attack, delivering accurate hits in the target area which resulted in the destruction of 2 BHT vehicles.
