Troops Neutralize 191 Terrorist, 184 Arrested Accross Threather Operations- DHQ

From Aviashima Toom, Abuja The Defence Headquarters, DHQ, says in the last one week, the military troops in thr ongoing operations across the country have neutralised 191 terrorists and arrested 184 with 22 perpetrators of oil theft.  The troops also rescued 91 kidnapped hostages while a total of 104 Boko Haram terrorists and their families surrendered to troops across threaters of operation. Briefing newsmen on Thursday in Abuja on the ongoing military operations and other security agencies, the Director, Defence Media Operations, Major General Edward Buba further explained that troops denied oil theft if an estimate sum of three hundred and eighty eight million, four hundred and sixty nine thousand five hundred and fifty naira only. By Aviashima Toom, Abuja The Acting Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, as part of his policy geared towards security of lives and property, most especially safety of schools and students, has announced the establishment of the Schools Protection Squad (SPS), a proactive initiative aimed at enhancing security and safety in educational institutions across Nigeria. By Aviashima Toom, Abuja The Nigerian Military disclosed that aggressive posture of troops in several operations across the 6 geopolitical zones have denied the perpetrators of insecurity the freedom of action after neutralizing 59 terrorists, arrested a total number of 88 criminals, 10 kidnappers, 20 gunmen and 19 suspected oil thefts and also rescued 88 kidnapped hostages within one week. In a statement signed by the Director Defence Media Operations, Major General Edward Buba on Friday in Abuja disclosed that, in the course of operations across the country troops recovered a total number of 68 weapons and 1,364 ammunition. General Buba said, troops recovered 26 AK47 rifle, 1 GPMG, 1 AKMS rifle, 1 FN rifle, 4 pump action, 5 pistols and 19 dane guns. From Aviashima Toom, Abuja  The Department of State Services (DSS) says it has launched investigation into Tuesday’s violent confrontation between its men and operatives of the National Correctional Service (NCoS) during the arraignment of suspended Central Bank of Nigeria governor, Godwin Emefiele, at a Lagos court. DSS, in a statement signed by its Public Relations Officer, Peter Afunanya, on Wednesday, described the incident as unfortunate.
