Troops neutralised 73 terrorists, raid ISWAP commander residence in Niger State

By Aviashima Toom, Abuja The military said  not fewer than 73 terrorists were neutralized in operations last week while an unspecified number of terrorists were killed in air raid at Bukar Meram terrorists training Area in Borno State. Director of Defence Media Operations Major General Edward Buba who made this disclosure during the bio-weekly media briefing in Abuja noted that,  in collaboration with its foreign partners, the military conducted a surgical operation targeted at the residence of an ISWAP terrorist commander in Niger State” He said that several arrests and discoveries were made during the operation but added that being an ongoing operation not much can be revealed at this stage. Nevertheless, one thing is certain, the operation is just one of several others to flush out the terrorist. NPF Warn Citizens Against Using Unknown Security Platforms, Apps

By Aviashima Toom, Abuja The public has been warmed against engaging unknown platforms and applications allegedly affiliated with the Nigeria Police Force. This was contained in a statement, Thursday, by the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, said the warning followed recent proliferation of virtual platforms claiming to be affiliated with the Nigeria Police Force. According to him “it has become pertinent to inform the public that there are only three (3) approved applications/websites for virtual policing services.” He listed the approved platforms to include NPF Rescue Me Application for emergencies which is available on android and ios.
