Buni Commends APC reconciliation Committee for Reports

By Aviashima Toom, Abuja The National Chairman, Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Mai Mal Buni has commended member of the reconciliation committee for a job weldone. The committee which was inaugurated three months ago, is saddled with the responsibility of reconciling, harmonising and integrating all agrieved members of the party in order to cement all cracks and seeming differences. Youth Groups Support Orbunde's Guber Aspiration

By Our Reporter Two political youth groups have thrown their weights behind the governorship aspiration of Arc. Terwase Orbunde who is a gubernatorial aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). They made their feelings known during separate courtesy calls on him on Monday in Makurdi. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the groups were  G-91 and Orbunde Family. … Slides 5 places compared with 2020 CPI result By Aviashima Toom, Abuja THE Civil Society Legislative Advocacy Centre, CISLAC, and Transparency International, TI, Tuesday, released the 2021 Corruption Perception Index, CPI, indicating that Nigeria ranked 154 out of 180 countries. Executive Director, CISLAC, Auwal Ibrahim Rafsanjani, disclosed this during a press conference in Abuja, said that, the index revealed that Nigeria scored 24 out of 100 points in the 2021 CPI. A businessman and National Assembly hopeful on the platform of All Progressive Congress Party, APC high Chief Henry Onwe has said his aspiration to represent the good people of Ogija/Yala Federal Constituency, Cross River State, in the lower house is intact and on course. He stated this on Monday while addressing journalists after submitting his intent and nomination form at APC Secretariat in Abuja, noted that two of them are left in the race.  According to him, while the okele coucus of the APC met and endorsed him as the sole candidate, the Yala coucus too also met and endorsed chief Ngaji as the sole candidate. In suit no: MHC/14/22 which was filed at a Makurdi High Court of the Makurdi Judicial Division Omale was seeking to restrain the APC from swearing-in Austin Agada as the State Chairman-elect of the party. Omale and the two others who filed the suit also sought the court to restrain the APC from swearing-in the Treasurer-elect as well as the Assistant Secretary-elect until the determination of the substantive suit. NAF Tactical Air Command gets new AOC

By our Reporter Air Vice Marshal (AVM), Abraham Adole, on Friday assumed duty as the new Air Officer Commanding (AOC), Tactical Air Command (TAC) of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), Makurdi. Adole took over from AVM Idi Lubo as the 42nd AOC TAC.  Lubo while welcoming Adole expressed confidence in the ability of the new AOC to steer the ship of the Command even better than he had done. "I believe that God has a reason for choosing you to succeed me and I have no doubts in my mind that you have all it takes to steer the ship more than what I have done."
