The event which took place at Nera Hotel Abuja is aimed at securing a home for the orphans at the Destined Children Orphanage, who may be evicted if they fail to purchase the property they lived in by the end of the year. Aviashima Toom, Abuja  The Nigeria Police Force has dismissed one Mr. Richard Gele, the Police Inspector caught in a viral video dignifying and justifying extortion of members of the public and official corruption which trended from the 25th of July, 2022. This was disclosed in a statement signed on Friday by the Force Public Relations Officer CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi in Abuja. IGP Commends Security Operatives, Electorates For Peaceful Conducts Of Osun Election

IGP BANS USE OF SPY NUMBER PLATES NATIONWIDE

From Aviashima Toom, Abuja The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, has ordered a total ban on all use of Police SPY Vehicle Number Plates by vehicle owners across the states of the federation without exceptions. In a statement signed on Wednesday by the Force Public Relations Officer CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi in Abuja said the ban is irrespective of whether it is authorized, or not, as all authorizations are hereby revoked indefinitely. According to the statement, the order is necessary to forestall the continuous disregard for traffic rules and regulations and other extant laws guiding road use by individuals hiding under the privileges of SPY police number plates.  The IGP  therefore directed that police officers and officers of other security agencies attached to VIPs who use the SPY number plates should ensure prompt compliance with this directive or risk being arrested for violation of the order. CSOs advocates for rehabilitation centres for Nigeria Police

By Our Reporter  Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) have advocated for Rehabilitation Centres for the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) for the purpose of rehabilitating bad elements amongst her workforce. They stated this during a two day Summit organised by the Network On Police Reform In Nigeria (NOPRIN) in collaboration with the Benue State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the theme of the summit was "Strengthening Police Reforms in Nigeria". The participants said that the centre would serve as a place where officers who had taken to drugs, alcohol, other substance abuse above all bad elements would be rehabilitated. VSF donates medical, non medical consumables to Benue community

by nicholas.dechi Victims Support Fund (VSF) on Friday donated a 2.5 KVA Solar Inverter to the Primary Healthcare Clinic in Bonta, Konshisha Local Government Area (LGA), Benue. The donation was done by the Chairperson, Emergency Support Program of VSF, Mrs Toyosi Akerele-Ogunsiji on behalf of the fund in Bonta, Konshisha LGA of the state. Our correspondent reports that apart from the inverter, VSF also donated medical and non medical consumables to the clinic. Akerele-Ogunsiji said that with the donation of the inverter the clinic would no longer experience darkness, stressing that henceforth there would be light at the clinic 24 hours. The chairperson of VSF further said that with the donation of the medical consumables the clinic would now be treating most of the diseases.
