CPS CLEARS AIR ON MASS BURIAL

CPS Terver Akase makes clarification on the issue of mass burial He said "We at no time made any official announcement that there would be mass burial of the Okpokwu victims today. The burial was scheduled for next week the very day Governor Ortom visited Okpokwu. You know it takes time to put logistics in place to do a mass burial. Remember the one in Makurdi on January 11 took place not less than 10 days after the new year attacks. If the govt does not plan the event well, the people complaining now about a "postponement" that never was will be the same to criticise the govt for a poor job. The mass burial will hold next week . It will take place as planned. Once more, let me appreciate the good people of Benue State for standing solidly behind their Governor in these very difficult moments.
